UltrasoundUltrasound uses sound waves to create black & white images of internal structures. This is a non-invasive way for us to look at your pets internal organs to help us diagnose problems. It can also be used for pregnancy diagnosis. Ultrasound scans can usually be performed in conscious animals or using light sedation. In some cases the ultrasound can be used to take needle biopsies of structures, avoiding the need for surgery. We have invested in a new ultrasound machine to upgrade this service in 2010.
